JURY UNABLE TO-AGREE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, August 30. Hearing of the libel action Brown V« Mulvanah and Venahlps was _ continued to-day. '■ The : witnesses included Mr. A. E.' Jull, chairman of the Harbour Board, the Mayor, Mr. H. Hill (recalled), and tho High School Board's solicitor, rind secretary. The jury were unable to agree upon a verdict after four hours' retirement, and a' majoritv verdict could not bo arrived at. ' Mr. Skerrett,- ■' for defendants, ' was granted leave to apply for a nonsuit, and Sir John Findlay, for tho plaintiff, asked for a new trial. Mr. Justice Chapman said that leave for the latter was unnecessary.
