The unions concerned iu tho bus.and tram striko have roachod an approximate settlement alter nearly livo hours of conference with Sir George Askwith, and agreed on the terms of referonco to the Committee of Production. Tho oxeoutive coniroitteo endorsed tho terms, which aro to bo submitted to ft mass meeting of the slrikors to-day. Tho terms include tho resumption of work pending the referonco on tho claim that tho equal total payment should bo mado to women and men for equal work. Tho raihvaymen employed by tho Swansea Harbour'Tnist have struck owing to dissatisfaction with the Government's wages award, and the work of tho port is at a. standstill.
