Sir—l was very pleased to see your leader on Education, which appeared on August 111. It voiced the opinion of tho whole country. Everyone, including inspectors, teachers, and parents, are thoroughly tired of the present management with its fads and fancies. The latest idea of State control, before and after present school age, is typical. If better use were made of the present period at "school it would bo moro satisfactory to all concerned. The friction and discontent in every branch of tho Education Department show there-must be something far wrong. If the Gov«-nment wishes to survive when things are back to normal it must restore confidence in the Education Department -without delay.—l am, etc., PARENT. '~ August 19..
