EDUCATION BOARD'S POLICY,

* At yesterday's meeting-, of the Wellington Education Board a. communication from the Council of Education raised tho question of appeals against teachers being sent to tho war. The Council of Education suggested, that appeals 6hould bo made for teachers whose cases had not been decided. Tho chairman stated that the policy of the 'Wellington Board was to not appeal for First Division men, but to appeal for Second Division men. Seven or eight appeals had been made. It was resolved that the letter from the Council - of Education should be received and that the suggestion contained in it should have tho hearty endorsement of tho board. f
