MAIZE EXPERIMENTS
Maize experiments conducted at Ifr. (5. Hodge's farm, Yarramalong, by. the Department of Agriculture, under tho supervision of Mr. -B. G. J leek, district inspector, gavo tho following results, says the Sydney "Herald" :-Palo Cap Horsetooth, dOJ bushels per acre; Golden Nugget. 30J; Potchefstrom Pearl, 30J; Ginat White, 29; Learning, 20; Hickory King, 20!j Bed Hogaii. 19. Goldmine and eilvermino were badly blighted, and completely failed. The crop generally , wis planted too Into (December), hence 1 the low returns. In the manurial tests with Improved_ Yellow Dent as tho vari- ,. ®ty, the following results were obtained: —No manure, 27} bushels ner acre; 2cwt. superphosphate per acre, 31; P. 7 (lcwt. super, lewt. bonedusl), S3J; stud seed , fwith 2swt. super.), 392.
