EDUCATION BOARD
1 ELECTION OF NEW CHAIRMAN. The first business to be transacted at tho meeting of the Education Board to bo held to-morrow wili be the election of a chairman, vice tho Hon. J. G. W. Aitken, who has retired altogether from tho board. Since tho last meeting of the board its personnel has undergone a considerable change, particularly as regards the Wellington representation, where Ihe lion. .T. G. W. Aitken, M.L.C., and Mr. William Allan 'have been replaced by Messrs. J. J. Clark and J. J'. Sliand, whilst Mr. Thomas Forsyth was returned at the head of the poll. Tho cqjididates for the chairmanship who have so far made their intentions known are Messrs. Tliom.is Forsyth and JO. P. Rishworth (Mayor of Lower Unit).
