COURT-MARTIAL
A SERGEANT'S OFFENCE. The findini; of a district court-martial hold at Feathorston Military Camp on August H, 1918,' having been confirmed by tho Commandant of tho Now Zealand Militia, is now promulgated:— Q.M.S. y< , . H. O'Mara, Featherston Details, found guilty of disobeying -a lawful command given by his superior officer, and absenting himself without leave, has l>een sentenced to "ho reduced to the ranks, with imprieonmont with hard labour for six months. The sentence is mitigated to reduction to the ranks, and one hundred and eighty days' detention in lieu of imprisonment, and further | mitigated so that if the accused em-! barks for active service outside New Zealand then upon arrival at tho final port of disembarkation the .unexpired portion (if any) of his period of detention shall be remitted, and his .New Zealand records shall be endorsed accordingly.
