DEATH OF MR. J. P. BOURKE
SOME HANDSOME BEQUESTS. Mr. J". P. Bourke, well known in the Wellington and Marlborough districts, and son of the late Mr. James Bourko, of Kilbirnie, died at his residence, Cashmere Hills, Ckristchureii, on Saturday lost, at tilie early age of 39 years. Mr. Bourke had for some time past been a largo operator in wool, being tho senior partner in the firm of Bourke, Wilson and Co., of Wellington. He was born in Wellington, and was educated at St. 'Patrick's College. Mr. Bourke, who had been in delicate health for some time, onlv removed from Wellington to Christchurcii a lew months ago, tho change being made- for health reasons. The interment took place at the Mount Streot Cemetery, Wellington, on Tuesday. Under ,tho will of tho late Mr. Bourke, tho following benefactions were made:— Catholic CliurcliJvilbirnie, £500; Mother Mary Anberl's Home, Wellington, £M; Redeniptorists' Monastery, Wellington, .£500; Boys' Catholic Orphanage, Lower Hutt, J250; Girls' Catholic Orpanage, Upper Hutt, .£250; Wellington Catholic Education Board, .£250.
