ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL

MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MEETS,

The weekly meeting of the Management Committee of the Wellington Football Association was held last evening. Present i Mr. A. E. Wells (chairman), Messrs. C. Webster, C. Ward, A. Smith, W. Auld, H. Yeoman, and A. Williams (lion, secretary). A player who was ordered off the field at Petone on Saturday week last attended and explained that he was not the player who used bad language. The matter was adjourned till next Wednesday to give tho player in question opportunity to bring evidence rebutting tho charge. Mr. Josephs, referee, reported a Boys' Institute player on a charge of using bad language after a caution had been given. The player in question has been asked to attend the next meeting of the i committee. Mr. Marohant, of the Seatoun Club, was heartily thanked by the committee for the great interest ho baa taken in promoting the game at Seatonn. All arrangements in connection with the Brown Shield match r. Canterbury, at Christohuroh, are complete for September 7. . Mr. Smith was appointed referee in the "North Schools' representative match v. Martinborough to-morrow. Mr. A. Josephs was appointed referee in the South Schools' representatives v. Martinborough, to be played on Saturday morning. Donations to the fund of the association were received from Messrs. A. Newbold, .£2 25.; A. G. Ballinger, M Is.; C. Aldous, .£1 Is. The championship final between Porirna and Mari6t will fake place at Association Park .on Saturday next at 3 p.m., referee Mr. Astill. • SCHOOL REPRESENTATIVES. • The following will comprise the South District ( Schools' representative team in their match against Martinborough Schools' representative team on Saturday morning, at Kilbirnie:—Quirk, Barton, Keohe and Gondon (Marist N.), Booth and Bolt (South Wellington), Ferkins and M'Niool (Island Bay), Murie, Davidson, and Shackleton (Worser Bay).
