PROHIBITION PROPOSALS
CimiSTCHORCJI. PRESBYTERY EXPRESSES ITS SYMPATHY. By Telegraph—Press Association'. Christchurch, August 13. The Christchurch Presbytery to-day passed a resolution stating that the proposal to exempt alcohol for Church communion purposes in the petition for suggested legislation to be presented to Parliament next session was not required so far as the Presbyterian Church was concerned.
The Presbytery passed a .resolution expressing sympathy with the petition in connection with Prohibition on the lines of the Efficiency Board's proposals, and urging the people to sign tho petition.
