THE MILK SCHEME
The proposals now before tho City Council for the control and supply of the city's milk have heon laid before the Minister of Public Health (Hon. G. W. Russell) by (ho chairman of tho Milk Committee' (Councillor Norwood). Mr. Russell states that lie has referred the proposals to the Minister of Agriculture for a report by the officers of his Department, and he has also asked the Altor-nev-General to advise whether it is pos-, Bible without further legislation to grant the Citv Council tho powers it requires. Tho Minister stated on Saturday Hint after he had received tho reports from the other Departments lie would bo glad lo meet the members pf the Milk Committee and discuss the matter with I hem Ho was anxious to assist tho City Council as far. as possible, by giving fae'Hlies or otherwise, to solvo tho milk problem in a satisfactory way.
