Mr. roreytli, as chairmnii of fao Visiting Committoß, imported that tlio members of tho committee- had inspected the schools under tho board, and found everything satisfactory, ami tho instruction efficient and practical. Everything was excellent oxcer/t tlio buildings, and lor them the Government was responsible. The chairman .expressed regret tliat no reply had yet been received from tho Minister about accommodntiou for llw school classes. A letter was received from wn director of the Southland Technical School, asking tbe board's co-operation in securing the re'netntement of Ixiokkeepiii" certificates for 'the students' examinations. It was explained that theso certificates wcro not now given, nnd fear was expressed that the result would be that studen ; t3 would ho less enthusiastic about tho classes in this subject. It was decided to support the Southland proposal.
