Metin etiid:—"l am most anxious lo reach Australia to etndy tho conditions "there, with tho view of ostabHsiiing preferred-nation arrangements for trade after tho war. I nni very interested in Australia's repatriation plans for her-soldiers. I expect that many men will seek the land of sunshine after the war. Mr. W. JI. Hughes, Australia's Premier, is growing exceedingly popular in France and other parts of Uto Continent. Tho people are greatly inipressed with his power for leadership. Mr. Lloyd George informed M. Poincaro Hint Mr. Hughes was one- of the few men who have mastered tho economic problems brought about by Die war." JI. Metin added:—"l consider Mr. Iliighrs one of Iho greatest men produced by the war."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [M. Albert Metin is a member of tho Chambor of Deputies and a former Minister of Labour. (Airbiere, agricultural engineer and stockbreeder; Count d'Anefre, attached Iu General Pan; and 31, Biider, secretary to the Commission and accountant.]
