ALIEN SHIPMASTERS
PROTEST PROM MERCHANT SER. VICE GUILD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, August 6. A deputation from the jilorchant Service Guild waited on the Mayor, Mr. ■Gunson. protesting against aliens who hold masters' certificates holding captaincies on veesels on tho New Zealand Register. Tho deputation isked ILo Mayor to represent to tho Government local feeling in the matter. The Mayor promised to convey to tho Acting Prime Minister the views of tho deputation.
