London, July 26. The hearing of the charges agaiust Sir Joseph Joms (ex-Lord Mayor of Sheffield), .of illegal traffic with the enemy, is proceeding at tho Old Bailey. Snhn was discharged on the ground that there was no evidence to go before a jury. Jones stated in evidence that his firm had an .extensive business before the war.
