WATERSIDERS' UNION
ELECTION OF OFFICERS. On Thursday and yesterday the annual election of officers of tho Wellington Waterside Workers' Union was held. Tho votes cast totalled 916. Mr. R. Riclnrds was returning officer and Messrs, M. Carlson and H. G. Royle sorutinjers. The following were elected:—President, Mr. L'. Glover (unopposed); vice-presi-uont,JMr. L. Tremayne, 322; treasurer, Mr. W. T. Bassett (unopposed); score tivry, Mr. J. G. Bruce (unopposed); assistant secretary, Mr. H. Callaghan, 531; trustees, Messrs. A. Bolton, E. Harrison, and S. G. Jonos (all unopposed); Disputes Committee, Messrs. L,' Glovor 800,. A. Collinge 523, and J. C. Frow 361; Harbour Board Department, Messrs, G, Matthews, ,T. Townhill, and J. Smart (all unopposed); No. 1 Stevedores' Department, Messrs, T. 'Holding 112, M. J. M'Kay 101, and G. Wallace 97; No. 2 Stevedores' Department, Messrs. W. Currie 214, A. Glass 171, and. T. Pressley 160; Coal Department, Messrs. ,1. C. Frew 200, T. Cartwright 237, and G. Dumbloton_2l7; Slip Workers' Department, Mr. W. S. Johnston (unopposed).
