KO GOVERNMENT ■ INTERFERENCE. Thero doss not seem to be any prospect at present of the Government interfering in the coal difficulty. It, ivas demanded by the Federation of Coal Miners' Unions that the Government should compel the owners to meet the delegates of the federation in conference, and it tfas feared by the owners 1 that the Government might do this. The attitude of the Government lit present scorns to bo that the matter it- not one in which it is desirable that tho Government should interfere.
