The entry was only sufficient for butchers' requirements, iiest quality advanced in. lid., and medium Is, Gd. per head, best wethers, 48s. to 543.; extra, 59a.; good, 425. to 4Us. ; me- ' ilium, 355. to 38a.; best ewes, 40s. to 155.; extra, 50s. !)d.; medium good, 3i)s. to Ms.; light, 24-s. to 28s. There were .175 lambs penned. The quality whs. fairly . goud. I'rices were'equal to late rales. Best, 28s. to 3fls.; medium to good. 255. to !lis. lid.; light, unfinished, 21s. to 235. (id. Of pigs there was a very small en--1 try of fats and stores. There was a '• keen demand and prices for fats showed an advance, while stores realised late rates.
