Fat cattle were in fairly good supply, -both us lu numbers and quality. Prices were firm at late rates, but several lots were passed, as vendors had raised their reserves. The yarding of fat sheep was a verv small one, and not more than enough to fill four races. There was a sharp advance in prices, estimated at lis. to Ss. per head on late rates. The few i'at hoggets offered also sold well, and store sheep were in good demand. There was a weaker demand for slore cuttle and dairy cows. I'at pigs sold well, but there was a'limited demand for stores. Store sheep—Four and six-tooth ewes, to 3(is.; six and eight-tooth ewes, lISs. ; two and l'our-toolh wethers, 2Gs. sd. to 3L's. Id.; four and six-tooth wethers, 3!)s. Cd.; ewe lambs, 21s. 9d.; wether lambs, 24-s. Id.; mixed sex lambs, 17s. Id.
