The Tageblatt announces that the Czecho-Slovaks, in epito of the heaviest resistance by tho Bed Guards, have captured Kazan (on the Volga, duo cast of Moscow). ' The paper adds that, by tho occupation of this important railway and waterway junction, the Czecho-Slovaks become masters of tho district of the lower Volga.—Renter. Talk Horwart, tho new Premier of Siberia, is popularly known as the "Uncrowned King of Manchuria." Ho was a close friend of General Alesieff when the latter was Viceroy in the Far East.- The now Cabinet includes the chief leaders of commerce, agriculture, and. other stable elements in Siberia, of all parties, and thus offers a nucleus for Allied intervention. The now Government ardently desires intervention, in order to rid Siberia of Bolshevism, but speedy notion is essential, or the Russians, in despair, may turn to tho Germans.—AusfN.Z. Cable Assn.
