CHANGES MADE AND IMPENDING. Tho Minister of Justice, (the Hon. T. M. Wilford) said yesterday Unit certain ehaagee had been mado and moro were nbout to bo made iu tho Magisterial Bouoh. Mr. E. Ci Cut ten, Second Magistrate at Auckland, had been promoted to the position of Chief Magistrate, in place- of '.Mr. C, C. Kottlc, who has retired owing to ill-health. Mr. S. E. M'Carthy, of Napier, and lately relieving in Wellington, has'been promoted to the position of Chief Map;istrate in Christclmrch, in nlaco of Mr. H. TV. Bishop, who is retiring on superannuation. The following Magistrates nre retiring on superannuation as from August 1 next:—Messrs. Burgess {Auckland), Loughnan (Blenheim), Barlon (Gisborne), Bishop (Christchurch), Hasclden (Hawera), Hutcheson (West Const), Keid (Marton).
