"CONCERT TO AID BUILDING FUND.
The promoters of tho fund" in aid of tho rebuilding of St. Mary of the Angels' Church,' Uoulcott -Street, 'recently destroyed by lire, are meeting with much success in their efforts.' Yesterday evening a concert to assist tho movement was.hold in the Town Hall, and it was a' decided success..: Quite early the build; ing was filled, and the excellent programme provided was heartily enjoyed. As a result it is expected that the fund will be considerably augmented. ''Tho items submitted were of a classical description, and 'the performers exhibited much . talent. Miss Eileen Dennehy, organist at St. Mary's Church, gave a tasteful interpretation of tho introduction to the third act of Wagner's ''Lohengrin," and she was also heard in Lenilncns's "Finale in A.'' The rendering of "Nazereth" by Hamilton Hodges evoked . load applause, i and Miss Agnes Segriof was especially popular with Gounod's "0 Divine Redeemer." Miss Teresa M'Enrco and Mr. D. Lyle (Eng-' lish Pierrots) sang the "Miserere" duet from Verdi's "It Trovutdro" with great feeling, and other items by these two fine vocalists -were also greatly appreciated. Sanderson's '"Until" ; was sung' by''Mr: Pat. Fitzgerald in a manner which evoked the enthusiastic plaudits of the audience, aiid Mr. A. M'Donald, llautist, scored a great success with "Andante," by Harmston. Mrs; E. IT. Quereo acted as accompanist:, the piano being lent by the Bristol Piano Company. Tho programmo concluded with the National Aiithera. played on'the organ by Miss Eileen Dennehy. v
