Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report having held their weekly etock sale at their Levin yards on Tuesday, when they ofl'ercd a fair yarding of shcop. Tho principal sales were as under:—Light fat ewes, from 255. M. to 295. 9d.; woolly hoggets, to 19s. Id.; shorn hoggefs. to 143. Id.; small shorn Jambe, to 10s. 9d. Messrs. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report:—At Etoahuiiii. on Thursday, we had only a. small entry of sheep, which we submitted to a small attendance of buyers. Competition was not very animated, but a total clearance was made as follows:—Two-tooth wothevs. 305.; small 2-tpoth empty ewes, 21e. i&.\ ■ aped empty (®es. 205.: good h.f. lambs, 17s. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report, having conducted a. clearing sale on behalf of Jlr. .lames Nicholson. Manakau." The stook, which was in good condition, sold at very satisfactory prices. The 60 coloured cows, comprising mostly August-Soptcmbcr calvers, averaged £13 10s. each.; lowest price, £10; highest. £19; springing heifers, £10 2s. 6d. to £11 7s. 6d.: backward call ere, £9 ss. to £10; store cows, £7 15s. to £8 15s. Tho grade Jersey cows, calving AugustSeptember, met with spirited competition; lowest price, £11 10e.; highest, £24, which averaged £17 7a. per head; three-quarter-cross, £10 to £11 55.; store cows, £6 to £B 55.; draught mares, £19. Tho New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency 00. report:—At our Palmerston North sale on Thursday we had n. small yarding of both sheep and cattle. Bidding for fhecp was dull, but brightened up on tho cattle which wo sold out w.der tho hammer. Quotations:—Pat ewen. 325. 6d.; fat cows, £12; -forward cows, £7 17s. 6d. to £8 10b.: store cows, £5108. to £5 155.; dairy cows (good), to £15 55.; other cows, from £7 10b. to £12; springing heifers, £9 to £12; yearling steers, £2. The Wairarapa Farmers' Co-operative Association. Ltd., Pahiatua., held on Wednesday, a successful clearing sab of dairy stock, on account of Mr. E. Darley. Tho prices realised, the firm ttate, must, constitute a record for grade cowe in this' district. A nice Holstcin cowi fill of quality, realised the satisfactory figvro of. £35, tho purchaser being Mr. J.
