BOY CAPTURES TWO GERMANS
ESCAPED PRISONERS HELD UP WITH A GUN. Two German prisoners who escaped . from Rothwell Cnmp, tottering, recently, v.we recaptured by a lad of 17, named •Thoma-s Gibson, the son of a licensed i victualler. : Gibson acted with remarkable smartness and presence of mind. He had been out shooting rabbits, and was returning along the main road between Kettenng and Northampton,' when ho met two men. answering the description of the escaped Germans, for whom (he countryside had boen scoured all day by, policemen on motor cycles. He allowed them to pass, and Iheji swung round and shouted "Halt! Eight about turn!" The surprised men, on obeying the order with military precision, found themselves facing the* lad and bis double-barrelled gun. j "Now "el on!
