SWIMMING
DUTIIIE AND COLTMAN CUPS. Yesterday Mr. Thos. Shields, representing the WelliJgton Centre of the N. 2. Swimming Association, visited the MtCook Boys' and Clyde Quay Schools for the purpose ox presenting medals to tho members ol' tl. 3 teams who last season succeeded in winning the Dutliie (boys) and Coltman (girls) cups—which are regarded as the "blue ribbon"' of interschool swimming competitions in Wellington. Mr. Shields took tho opportunity of congratulating the winners on behalf of the centre, and tho schools on the possession of such capable exponents of the natatorial art. lie also dropped some valuable hints on swimming and life-saving generally. The winn.'M's of the cups, who wore each presented with a handsome silver medal (donated by the Wellington Centre) Mere:—
Duthie Cup winners:—P. Wilson, T. Wilson, L. Marple. and C. Ross. Coltman Cup winners:—Eita Fulford, Rhoda Tait, Vera Brodic, and Lena (Judy) Plimmer.
