DREARY WEATHER
Tho week-end was raw and uncertain, and wet weather was tho experience in most parts of tho Dominion. _ The prospects, according to the official forecast, are gloomy ana unhospitable. Strong westerlies, backing to the south, are expected north of New Plymouth and Napier, and variable winds, with moderato to strong easterlies to south-easterlies prevailing elsewhere. Cold, _ unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather, with rain generally, and snow in the southern highlands may be looked for.
