COAST THOROUGHLY SEAIiCIIEB FOE SUEVIYOIiS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, July 1, Constables Calwell and Thorneil, of Kaitaia and Houhorn, report that this morning, from Te Pa-hi Station, they, with the assistance of Maoris and settlers, thoroughly searched the coast from North Cape to Capo Mario van Dieman, without any result. Captain Wilson, of the steamer Waitotahi, reports having picked up a spar and a board. The Ecltlers and Natives have returned to their homes, tho hope of discovering any more survivors having been abandoned. The Waitotahi has returned to Parenga, and relinquished the search. Tho Acting-Prime Minister (Sir James Allen} received a message from Mr. Masfioy yesterday, expressing his deep regret at the loss of life , resulting irom tho wreck of the Winunera, and his heartfelt sympathy with relatives and friends.
