Class, having qualified as assistant instructor in physical and bayonet training, is entitled to wear the badge denoting same. Pte. M. L. M'Kcown, C Coy., 40th, to bo sergeant. Tho following temporary appointments have been approved by the Camp Commandant at Feathers'ton: Cpl. G. G. Gow, E Company CI, to bo temporary sergeant; Pte. R. H. Swcetzer, N.Z.D.C, Tauherenikau, to be temporary sergeant. Tho Camp Commandant at Featherston aeknowledes with thanks the receipt of the following gifts'to the Camp Hospital:—Mrs. J. Martin, Martinborough, :j dozen eggs; Miss Card, Featherston, parcel of magazines; Mrs. IJ. Donald, one chicken. The finding of a District Court-Martial held at Tronthani Camp on Juno 24, having been confirmed by the Commandant, N.Z. Military Forces, is hereby promulgated :-56,687 Pte. C. A. Wateon, A.S.C., found guilty of disobeying in such a manner as to show a wilful defiance of authority, a lawful command given personally by his superior officer, in the execution of his office. Sentenced to imprisonment with hard labour for two years.
