Chapman presiding)l" to receive the report troni the unions' representatives on the negotiations with'tho employers, in the of an. increase '.in wages and improved conditions. The report wiis received; and the following recommendations were carried:— '"That this meeting adopts the suggestion indicated by the Wellington master printers, and that tho 1/itterpress Machinists.:, and Typographical Associations, and.the Wellington Bookbinders' Society apply to the New Zealand Jlaster Printers' and New Zealand Newspaper Proprietors' Associations for a conference with,- a view, of eecuring increased wages and improved conditions of labour." "That , in tho event of failure to agree on the matters in dispute,, in any subse-quent-conference, the Lellfrpress Machinists' and Typographical Associations, and .the. Wellington Bookbinders' Society apply to the Arbitration Court for amendment of awards with a view to- obtaining relief from the bunion of increased cost of, living." Tt was also decided that the representatives appointed bo given a free hand in any subsequent nroceedings. . '
