COMPANY'S PREVIOUS LOSSES

ON NEW ZEALAND COAST. The Huddart-Parker Company, which has now been tratliug on the const of New Zealand and in tho intercolonial trade for over a qutu'tur of a century, has now sustained tho loss of three vessels. Five years later—on November 9, 1902, the well-known Elingamite struck a rock off the Three Kings Islands, when ui route from Sydney to Auckland, and became a total loss. More than one attempt was mado to salve the cargo mid' valuables, but with little success. Mr. Gow, a Wellington publican, financed one enterprise.
