Boisterous weather has ruled in many parts of the Dominion during tho past twenty-four hows, and the prospects for the immediate future i.re not reassuring. Indications are for strong and squally southerly winds and increasing atmos- ■ pheric pressure everywhere. Cold, chanceable, and showery weal her 's expected generally, but heavy rain is likely along the East Coast of the North Island and about Cook Strait.
