APPOINTMENTS AND PROMOTIONS The appointments, promotions, resignations, and transfers of the undermentioned officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, Royal N.Z. Artillery and Territorial Force have been approved:— Captain F. A. Wnoci,. M.C., N.Z. Staff Corps, is confirmed in the appointment of Mounted Itifle Instructor, Featlierstcn Camp. Medical Corps, is appointed n member of a Special District Medical Board. Dated May 21, 1918.' . Captain Peroy St. John Keenan, N.Z. Railway Battalion, relinquishes the appointment of Staff Officer to Director of ■Railway Transport, and ceases to be seconded Dafeu June 5, 1918. Regiment of Eoyal N.Z. Artillery. Captain F. G. Hume to command the Tegiment temporarily, vice Ma.ior S. G. Sandle proceeding; on active service, and is granted the temporary rank of Major whilst so employed. Dated June 13, 1918. Ilth Kogiment (Taranaki Kifles). Sergeant E. R Cotttts to he 2nd Lieutenant. Dated May 29, 1918. N.Z. Rifle Brigade. Earl of Liverpool's Own (Territorial). 2nd Lieutenant S. M. M. Hobbs is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from May 22, 1918, and is posted to the regiment with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd Lieutenant, as from January 18, 1917. Captain (temp.) D. M'D. Wilson, M.C., M.8., Edin., whilst acting as a member of a Special District Medical Board, to receive the pay of Lieutenant-Colonel at Expeditionary force rates, with effect from May 25, 1918. Captain (temp.) A. 0. Owen, M.D., whilst nctintr as a member of a Special District Medical Board, to receive the pay of Lieutenant-Colonel at Expeditonarv Force rates, with effect from May 14,' IMb. Daly, Chaplain to tha Forces, 4th Class, is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from July 5. 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class, as from February 1. 1915 (vide New Zealand Gazette, No. 30, of February 25. 1915). Rev. Herbert L. Barton Goertz, to bo Chaplain to the Forces, 4th Class. Dated May 31, 1918. N.Z.. Army Nursing Service. The undermentioned 6taff nurse having married her name is as now stated:— Staff Nurse Emily E. Ross, nee Beattio. Unattached List (b). Captain Reginald W. Fisher is struck olf the strength of the N.Z.E.F., with effect from June 6, 1918, and is absorbed with his original Tank and seniority— viz., captain, as from December 12, 1915 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 38, of April 6, 1916). Lioutenant Alexander K. Anderson, to be captain. Dated February 11, 1917. The undermentioned 2nd lieutenants to he nontenants:—Henrv Vincent Foster (dated September 23, 1917); Mervyu Wells (dated February 15, 1918;. ! Company Sergeant-Major Gavin E. Pollock to be 2nd lieutenant. Dated May 28, 1918. 2nd Bieutenant (tomp.) Carl A. Ponlsett resigns his appointment. Dated May 22, 1918. Unattached List (b), General List. Lieutenant Francis J. Travnor is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F.. with effect from May 25, 1918. and is posted' with hie original rank and seniority— viz., 2nd lieutenant, as from November 11, 1916. 2nd Lieutenant Augustus 0. T. Chamberlain is struck off the strength of the N.Z.E.F., with' effect from June 25, 1918, and is absorbed with his original rank and seniority—viz., 2nd lieutenant, as from December i, 1918 (vide New Zealand Gazette No. 150, of October 4, 1917). 2nd Lieutenant William T. Longhnr.st resigns his commission. Dated May 22, 1918.
