Messrs. lmlgety ami Company, Ltd.. report having held their weekly Levin sale on Tuesday, when they otlered a good yarding of sheen.and a medium entry of caltlo to the ÜBital attendunce of buyers. Competition and inquiry for sheep were better than some weeks previously, and the.whole yarding was cleared under the hammer, at rates ahead of owners' reserves. There was poor competition for cattle, and a number of lines offered failed to find purchasers. The principal sales were as under.—Light-weight fat ewes, 245. 4d. to 24b. 7(1.; empty store ewes, 18s,; poor condition shorn lambs, Us. 6d. to lis. 10(1.; medium shorn lambs, 14s. 10d.; medium woolly lambs, 16s. 6d.; Hound-mouth breeding ewes, 275. to 275. sd.
