— 4 — Miss Ankcttell presented an attractive Si programme' to the mei •in port at the | Sailors' Friend Society on Tuesday. The | men were delighted with the efforts of | hostess and performers, as was shown | by the hearty cheers. Those who took ! r part were-.—The .Misses Ankettell, Exton, | Crane, I, AYemyss, E. Lambert, and A. | Lambert, Messrs. Clarke, Lyons, John- | son, Jones, and Monashan. The Misses B Ankettell and Lambert were at the | piano. Mr. Moore, missioner, spoke on | "Complaints," in relation to temperance, I jind again pledges were added to the | 'books. The competitions caused rare | fun." The prizes were donated by well- | wishers. $
