fr- - CIVIC RECEPTION AT CHRISTCHURCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Christchurch, Juno 17. Lieutenant S, Frickleton, V.C., was accorded a civic reception this afternoon. The function was held outdoors, and was attended by thousands of citizens, who showed .the greatest enthusiasm. Tho Mayor was tho only speaker, and his remarks -wero frequently elieered, whilo Lieutenant Frickleton, who v.-as givon a tremendous reception, was subsequently carried shoulder nigh to his car, amid tho cheers of the orowd and tho strains of tho bands.
