By Telegraph— Presa Association. Invcrcargill, Juno 17. A firo occurred this morning in n twostory brick block in Tay Street, starting in Mrs. Challis's fruit shop. The £rc spread from tho top floor to the United Friendly Societies' Dispensary, Lethabv's (umbrella maker), and Ayson's (grocery) shops. Mr. Challis's and Mr. Lotiaby's stocks ivero completely destroyed, and the stock in tho dispensary seriously damaged. The insurances aro: On the building;, .£2050; stock, Friendly Sooioties\ iCSOOO; Ayson's, .£875; Lethabv's, JJ800; Challis's, £240.
