MAKARA COUNTY COUNCIL
The monthly meeting of the Makara County Council was held yesterday, there being "present Councillors f>. Bryant (chairman). \V. E. Cook. J. 11. ffaggerty, A. J. Tavlor. E. Windlev, and f>. Bowler.
The Minielrr of Marine notified the council thai: (he Titahi Hay beach had been vested in tlie control if the council for a period of 21 years. The framing of regulations in connection with this was held over until next meeting.
Allan Catby, ,of Makara, was granted a slaughterhouse license, and meal: export slaughterhouse licenses were granted to the Wellington Meat Export Co., Ltd., and the New Zealand Farmers' Co-opera-tive Bacon and Meat Piickins Co.. Ltd., subject to the approval of the Department of Agriculture.
