MASTER PLUMBERS' UNION

AN.NTAL MEETING. At the annual general menling of members of the Wellington Master Plumbers' Industrial Union of Employer*, at which Mr. W. Judd (president)' presided, tlm annual report and the statement of income and expenditure and balance-sheet nere adopted. The president in his address pointed out the success attending the union's affairs during the past .year, and dealt briefly with matters arising out of the. report. The election of officers resulted: President. Mr. W. Judd (re-elected); vice-president, Mr. A. Kamsay; secretary and treasurer. Mr. A. J. Petherick; lion, auditor, Mr. A. E. Wells; executive committee, Messrs. T. Ballinger, 11'. Hanson, C. Harford, S. M'Xvor, S. L. Bussell, G. "\V. Key, and IT. V. Putter. A recoinmciidatioi) of ttie executive that whilst a financial member of the union is in camp or on military service outside New Zealand he be an honorary member of the union, was adopted. MessiH. R. W. Jenkins, F. FT. Jaiisen, and J. Casey were ordered to be transferred lo the honorary members' list. Mr. Alexander raised the question of assisting the smaller firm;, being members of the association, who are ordered into camp, and considered that sonic steps should lie taken by Hie union to arrange for any assistance which such linns may ilesim at the'hands of the association. Mr. Wells suggested 'hat such firms lie written to and infovned that the association was prepared to .render assistance if such ivas desired. The president suggested that a. committee from the union be appointed to advise members who had enlisted, and who had left their businesses in the hands of a manager, and the following were appointed to the committee: Messrs. W. Judd, Eamsay, and Ballinger. Mr. C. R. Hosie was elected » member of the association.
