The President, addressing the Council of State, said that Switzerland was assembling documents relative to the constitution of a League of Nations, in order to he prepared in the event of Switzerland's services being required in connection with the establishment of a durable peace.—Renter. The Saint George's Hanover Square Conservative Association, in regretting the withdrawal of his candidature at tliii next election, warmly thanked Sir George Reid for his services—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. [Sir George Reid represented one of the two constituencies in the above electorate, which, under the redistribution of seats, will return one member less.
