TALISMAN CONSOIiIDATED. (By Telegraph-Special Correspondent.) Auckland, June ?. During the month of ilay Ihe Talisman Consolidated, Ijtd., crushed and treated 1520 tons, yielding bullion to the value of £10.281 Cs. Bd. The costs for the month totalled £3 Us. lid., made up as follow:Mine development, 18s. 7d.; mining. 25».; milling, 225. 10ft.; general, ss. 6d. The directors have sent to London the following cablegram:—"No. 15 Level (south drive): Progress 18ft.. width 69in., value £4 15s. No. 15 Level (north drive): Progress 57ft., width 42in., value 14s. Til* manager of the Hurray Creek Cold Mining Company, Ltd.. reports upon work done at the mine during the mouth of 'May as follows:—No. 4 Level: Stopiug has been carried on in this level north and south on a. reef varying from 2ft. to 4ft. wide In the last three slopes it has extended south 15ft„ and is now divided into two parallel blocks, being hi width 3ft. and 4ft. respectively, with about 4ft. of mullock between. From appearance at present, it will be. necessary to form an 1 intermediate level, going south. Tho blocks of stone just mentioned are independent of hanging-wall reef, for which a rise has been put up 35ft. from No. 4 level. Expect, to cut, reef here any time. No. 3 Level: Sloping south. The tonnage extracted from this part, of Ihe ■initio workings .hus been small. Sloping in the north end, the reef has been imnroTing. One face is now 6ft. wide, and is making farther north than any stone yet mined in No 3 level. An intermediate, level is now being driven to prove its extent. , No. 1 Intermediate: In these slopes, also, the reef appears to be extending north, fa'tlier tl-jiii any stone previously sloped. Total tonnage sent to the battery orebin amounted to 563$ tons. Battery: The amount of nuartz crushed was 850 tons, which produced a return valued approximately at £1880. LONDON SHAM MABKET.
