TWO MEN KILLED BY FALLING OVER CLIFF. , By Telegraph—Press Association ' New Plymouth, Juno 4. A shocking fatality occurred at Mount Egmont yesterday, when two mon named Arthur Ambury and flourlay wore killed and a third M'Donald, injured, through falling over a cliff on Humphries's Castle. Ambury leaves a widow and four young' children.

Gourlay belonged to Christohuroh, and was employed in tho Survey Department. M'Donald is employed in the Stato Fire Office. »

Later. Search parties under Guido Murphy, with Now Plymouth police, went out early this morning to recover the bodies of Messrs. Ambury and Gourlay, tho victims of yesterday's fatality on Mount Egmont. .They reachcd the place where ,tho men fell: about 10 o'clock. Tho bodies were fearfully mutilated, and death must have been, instantaneous. Guide Murphy strapped tho bodies in canvas sheets, ana tho others hauled thorn up the cliff by ropes. The task of conveying the bodies back to the mountain house was very difficult owing to tho slippery naturo of the surface. About twenty men assisted, in relays, and returned to tho mountain house about 1.30 p.m. The bodies wera then brought to New Plymouth by motor lorry, arriving about 5.30 p.m. Mr. Gourlay'6 body is being sent to Christchurch for burial. ' Christchurch, June 4. W E. Gourlay, one of the victims of the Mount Egmont, fatality, was the son' of Mr. E. Gourlay, linotype operator on the "Press," and was twenty veara of age'.' Ho headed the list for Christchurcb 'district in tho Junior Civil Service examinations, and entered tuft Christchurch office of the Lands anil Survey Department in 1914 as a cadet. \ Later, ho was transferred to Auckland, and about six months ago he was transferred to New. Plymouth. He enlisted for active service a little while ago, auri at the time of his death was awaiting medical J examination.
