RED JERSEY APPEAL
MONDAY'S BIG PROCESSION
A successful concert was held at Lvall Bay in connection wilh the Eed Jersey appeal, resulting in the net proceeds of .£lO 15s. fid. This amount included the Bum of .£3 realised from the sale of artificial flowere by Mrs. Brailsford Messrs. Woods, creates, Hills, and Eeid, of the Savage Club, contributed items to the programme, which worj> greatly appreciated by the audience. Extensive preparations are in hand for the big procession through the city on Monday, the King's Birthday, this being the final day of the Red Jersey appeal. The procession is timed to leave the Government Buildings at 11 a.m. It is understood that the Dominion Boy Scouts had arranged for a procession on the same day and the holding of a display in Nnn-town Park afterwards. The Red Jersey Appeal Committee appreciate very much the action of the officers of the Boy Scouts in deciding to give this display for the benefit of the Red Jersey appeal. The Boy Scouts, who are in a separate procession, will march in front of the main body, and 'should make a very fine addition to the citizens' procession now an well in hnnd. The final day of thi> Red Jersey Shop in Willis Ptreet is now in the hands of the Wadestown Ladies' Committee for Monday next. Welbeck, the Duke of Portland's place, has a park ten miles in circumference, with 41 lodges.
