PARLIAMENTARY REPRESENTATION DESIEED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Duncdin, May 30. The Off go Educational Institute passed a motion urging the Minister to alter tho regulations so as to prevent ft school falling in grade and suffering a decreass ir staff owing to a sudden drop in attendance, as a result of severely inclement weather for a few days in the year. The institute decided that the work now required of inspectors in marking examination papers at Christmns should he- considerably reduced, and < that tho number of inspectors be considerably increased.
Mr. Service moved: "That the Now Zealand Institute lie asked to consider (he advisability of supporting officially :>nd guaranteeing the election expenses of nt least one candidate at each election »pf members of the House of Representatives." He said that in twenty appointments recently made to the Legislative Council every eiass of the community with tho exception of the teaching profession was represented. The motion was carried unanimously
