After ho was provided with fond and clothing by tho authorities, ho Avus ! arrested, as the police found that llm slory of tho torpedoed vessel was not true. The man had a-good deal of English money in his pockets. Moreover, a collapsible boat was found wrecked near (ho cliffs -of Holier. Evidently the spy landed on.tho islet at night in mistake for the mainland and endeavoured to destroy tho boai, and discovered at daylight that ho lmd marooned himself.— Aus.-N.Z. Cnble Assn.
