COMPETITIONS SOCIETY
OFFICERS ELECTED. A.meeting of the executive council of the Wellington Competitions Society warf held last evenini, when Hie followirig'officers were appointed:—Chairman, Mr. .T. H. Helliwell; vice-chairman, Mr. F. G. Cray; treasurer, Mr. W. E. Fuller; secretary, Mr. G. W. Jenner; hen. solicitor. Mr. 0. C. Mnzengarb. Rules of constitution were adopted, and it was- ntcided to register the society under the Incorporated Societies Act. The chairman reported that nearly the whole amount required had been .guaranteed, and it was hoped to complete the amount in a few days. The following sub-com-mittees were appointed:—Finance, Messrs. Bowden, Jackson, 31. Cnrr, Partridge, and M'T.aehlan; proirnnime, Messrs. Mazengarb, Menzics. Palliser, J. W. Carr, and Rev. Mr. Hunt; organising, Messrs. Wallace, Goodwin, M'lntyre, Clark, Dun, and Racey. It was resolved that thecomlietitions be held at the Town Hall from November 14 to 30. Entries are to close on September 30. It was decided to obtain a tender for printing the syllabus and official programme.
