ITALIANS TAKE THE OFFENSIVE
VICTORY ON THEIR WAR ANNIVERSARY BIG HAUL OF PRISONERS AND BOOTY (Rcc. May 28, 7.50 p.m.) London, May 27. An Italian official report states.—"Wo consecrated tho dawn of the 'fourth year of our war with a victory. The operation was continued uninterruptedly oil Saturday and Sunday. We stormed Zigolon, Mount Presena, the Lahe Basin, and the Mouticello Pass, and inflicted severe losses. Tho number of prisoners to duto totals 870, and the booty includes twelve guns and a great quantity of all kinds of material. Tho enemy twice strongly attacked our position at Mont Cory, but a counter-attack ropelled him. Wo brought down eight of tho enemy's aeroplanes."—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.-Reuter.
