STORMY WEATHER
Wild and stormy weather made things generally * uncomfortable yesterday, and ■ there is little prospect of an immediate improvement, according to the Government Meteorologist. Unusually heavy rain Ml nt intervals yesterday, and minor fioodings and wash : onts were again a'frequent occurrence. The present storm area envelopes the; whole Dominion, westerly- gales and heavy rain prevailing in moat .parts, with ■■ flooded, rivers, in somo" ■' districts. A continuance.of stormy cohdi- ■ tions is predicted by the Government Meteorologist,- who says that west and south-west gales are to be expected, .Iho barometer is unsteady, but is expected to rise- soon .in. the south. . .
