WHAT AUSTRALIA OWES. Melbourne, May 23. Speaking in. the House of Representatives, Mr. "W. A. Watt, Aclitig-Federal Primo Minister, moved the second readying of tho War Loan Bill. Ho said (hat (ho Australian War Loans raised in (ho Commonwealth amounted to ,£118,125,110, nnd in the United Kingdom to .C 49.032.059. Tho total indebtedness of tho Commonwealth was «C2«).199,94G, and tho total amount loaned or to bo loaned to tho Stales for public works during war time was „C 34,9"1,000. Repatriation expenditure would be met out of revenue.—Press Assn.
