"SHIPS FOR MILLIONS"
New York, May 22. The Hon. ,T. Daniels (Secretary for the Navy), in tlio course of a 'speech said: "Before another summer we shall havo ships enough to .carry millions of men to Franco, and enough destroyers to convoy them safely. Germany made the rocont drive because the Kaiser realised that when America gets ships enough to carry Iho men the end will come. America realises that never again must her commcrco be carried in foreign bottoms. Victory will bo won, even if the war lasts till we call out men from IS to tiO."—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
THE COMING OF AMERICA'S YOUTH. Washintlton, May 22. General Crowder estimates that 750,000 men will be automatically added to the Army during June by youths attaining their majority.—Aus.-N.Z. Cablo Assn.
