SCARLET FEVER CONTACTS
WAS THE. CASE REPORTED? When the report of the Health Inspectors was under consideration at yesterday's meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, Mr. V. T. Moore said that he gathered that the inspectors were- not now giving notice of cases of infectious diseases to local bodies and schoolmasters concerned. The chairman, said he was not aware of that, and that it was certainly their duty to do so. My. Moore then referred to a case of scarlet fever at Jolmsonvillo, which he alleged had never been notified to the authorities, and on account of that there were nt present four or five cases in the Hospital, contacts from-that ono case. Tho chairman said that the matter would be looked into. "I hope it will," said Mr. Moore, "as it is a matter of the gravest importance to any community.
